Meet Emily

Emily is a child and adolescent psychologist and the director of Peninsula Child Psychology. She has worked within the private paediatric space for the last five years, as well as in the education department since 2020. Her client base includes neurodiverse children and adolescents, specifically females with ASD and ADHD, social and emotional difficulties, grief and adjustment disorders, mood disorders, and family stress and dysfunction. She is trained in a range of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), grief counselling, as well as range of parent support programs such as Tuning Into Kids. She is also trained in completing cognitive, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental assessments. Emily adopts a holistic and family-centred approach when working with her clients, and enjoys adopting a collaborative and systemic approach to her work; including liaising alongside parents/carers, external allied health practitioners, and members of a child's school community. She consults at Peninsula Child Psychology on Tuesday, Wednesday mornings, and Thursday’s, while working within a specialist education setting part time.

Meet Sarah

Sarah is general psychologist, who brings a wealth of experience from public health care and forensic disability organisations. She has worked alongside individuals with a broad range of presentations including neurodiversity (e.g. ID, ASD, ADHD), acquired brain injury, and various personality disorders. Sarah is well versed in facilitating psychological and forensic assessments, as well as both individual and group-based interventions. She is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) - Level A Practitioner, and Schema Therapy. She is also trained to administer cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments. Sarah takes a warm, non-judgemental, and empathetic approach to her sessions, welcoming all individuals, regardless of gender or neurotypes to her practice. Sarah will be consulting at Peninsula Child Psychology on Thursdays and Fridays, and works with children aged 10 years and above. She also independently owns and operates, ForDiversity Psychology.
